Support the Fixed/Mobile Satellite – INMARSAT, IRIDIUM including future satellite product development.
Assist product roll out, technical setup and demonstrations in Planning and Engineering function.
Evaluate, conduct trials and recommend satellite related equipment pertaining to mobile applications,
e.g encryption, surveillance camera, IPTV, VOIP, WiFi, video conferencing and evaluating international
language Emailing package, etc.
Provide Fixed/Mobile Satellite product presentation (technical aspects) and demonstration to potential
customers and internal sales team offering technical consultancy support.
Lead and manage in tender and bid management, VSAT and broadcast solution, etc.
Participate in other duties such as site survey, conduct and coordinate satellite and IP training to
system integrators and partners. Create pre-sales technical documentation and presentation kits
including engineering solution and operation implementation processes
Requirements :
Master Degree in Telecommunications / Electrical / Computer Engineering or with at least 5 years'
experience in satellite technology and networking.
Possess knowledge of networking technology and also transmission protocol such as IP.
Candidates with mobile satellite experience is preferred.
Must be a self-starter, pro-active, creative, good team member and customer-oriented.
Network Analysis Engineer
Responsibilities :
Perform maintenance work on transmission systems / equipment supporting international telecommunication services.
Perform pre-service testing and implementation of transmission link for international telecommunication services.
Attend to faults and interruptions on network / equipment / systems.
Liaise with other carriers, overseas telecommunication administrations including global office, to investigate
and isolate faults.
Follow-up with vendors to investigate faults related to systems / equipment.
Maintain equipment store, equipment spare parts records.
Perform installation, acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment / systems / networks.
Coordinate and liaise with various relevant sections / departments, and preparation and issuing of operations
work orders.
Update and maintain equipment and network / circuit records.
Monitor equipment / systems performance and prepare statistical reports for equipment /system performance
degradation analysis.
Requirements :
Master Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or IP/IT related field from a recognized institution.
Have at least 5 years working experience.
Candidates who have knowledge in transmission equipment will be an advantage.
Required to perform call back duty during off duty hours.
Possess good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
Network Design Engineer
Responsibilities :
The candidate must be experienced and have a strong technical knowledge in wireless technologies such as GSM,
GPRS and UMTS. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reviewing product requirements provided by
product development and marketing, to prepare matching architecture solutions for GGSN platforms. This position
requires a strong understanding of Cisco CMX solutions. This position also includes writing high-level and
detailed architecture for each project. The candidate will also work with other product teams, Network
Engineering/Operations teams, and IT teams following the Cingular process for project implementation and
ongoing platform support including feature roadmap. The candidate must understand GGSN features and
functionality to support the development of data service solutions. The candidate should also understand the
functional and operational relationship between GGSN and SGSN network elements. The candidate will be
responsible for establishing and maintaining a highly professional working relationship with vendors.
Requirements :
The applicant must have 5+ years experience in IP networking technologies working on architecture design,
system and network applications and deployment. Must possess an intrinsic understanding of communications and
data networking protocols, parameters and interfaces (Gn, Gi, Gp, Ga). Thorough understanding of the following:
TCP/IP, UDP, WAP, VPN, e-mail (SMTP, IMAP4, POP3), LDAP, HTTP, GTP, etc. Must possess a working knowledge of
GPRS/EDGE, UMTS & IMS wireless packet data networks and the core data nodes: GGSN, WAP gateway, RADIUS, DHCP,
DNS, Routers, etc. Data network architecture experience desired: Ethernet, WLANs, VLAN implementation,
IP routing, IP switching, firewalls, QoS implementation, etc. Must be able to lead multiple concurrent projects
and provide timely status reports; be able to promptly respond to incoming requests for new services or changes
to existing services; provide high-level and detailed architectures; understand wireless technologies and
quickly learn Cingular’s core network infrastructure. Applicant must be team oriented as well as self-reliant
